Another project with strong relations to Witcraft is nominated in the section BEST AUSTRIAN DOCUMENTARY 2012:  Witcrafts CEO Ursula Wolschlager acted as Executive Producer on Ruth Beckermanns documentary AMERICAN PASSAGES . The film, currently showing in Austrian cinemas, takes audiences on an associative journey through the United States, delivering a very different view on the American Dream or rather, what's left of it.

Last November we celebrated the conclusion of the first two seasons of DIVERSE STORIES our script development programme for newcoming writers with intercultural backgrounds. TURBO-KAVIAR-CÓRDOBA a big party including a reading of the finished scripts took place in a jam-packed Metrokino and was very well received by the Austrian film industry. The event kicked-off the new season with a big blast.
For DIVERSE STORIES third season we received about 32 applications from writers coming from 13 different cultural backgrounds.
The jury, Witcraft-Team: Ursula Wolschlager, Robert Buchschwenter and Senad Halilbasic, acompanied by Jasmina Eleta (filmmaker) and Barbara Eppensteiner (OKTO community TV) selected 9 very promising texts for the workshop-programme.
During the next months DIVERSE STORIES will support these new talents and upcoming writers to get their stories ready for production.

To put a little pressure on the newbies, DIVERSE STORIES season I participant Umut Dag is showing his first feature at this years BERLINALE PANORAMA! Congratulations!

Witcraft's CEO Ursula Wolschlager will be attending Berlinale as well!  Say hello and let's talk about scripts!

Last but not least we are very happy to announce that our 2009 documentary GANGSTER GIRLS (with english and spanish subtitles) is available for download in the iTunes store.
