Senad Halilbasic gained his first experiences in film in the course of a two year training at the Film- und Media Academy Graz (FUM). Moreover he successfully completed various internships in all kinds of positions regarding the filmbusiness.
His first short films, which he wrote and directed himself, were shown at various international film festivals.
In 2008 he received the Exile Youth Literature Prize for his first published short story, in 2009 he co-wrote his first feature film „Fatalis“ (directed by Simon G. Mueller), which was produced at the New York Film Academy in April 2010. „Fatalis“ is now in Post-Production.
His first radio feature documentary (co-written with Ingo Starz) „Burning Memory – The Dead Books of Sarajevo“ will be broadcasted at the WDR in fall 2011.
In addition to his academic studies of Theatre, Film and Media and the production and writing of various film projects, Senad is also an appreciated film- & book-critic and a correspondent at various European film festivals.
In 2009 Senad Halilbasic had another idea for a feature film, which lead to the programme DIVERSE STORIES by Witcraft, where he first participated in and now does the management for.
