In this section Witcraft develops feature and documentary films for cinema or television on our own initiative together with the author(s) in a process that occurs in a setting free from the immediate pressures of production. Our cooperative model takes into account the entire development process, from the working-out of the original concept through steady dramaturgical accompaniment during the various stages of the writing process until the screenplay is finished and ready to shoot and market.
Our mode of collaboration is designed especially for authors who do not wish to commit themselves to an executive producer too early in the writing process, yet seek creative and well-versed specialists for assistance in the development of their ideas.
This development is based on teamwork, in which Witcraft assesses the market potential and estimates development and production costs, along with fulfilling its role as dramaturgic counsel. In addition, Witcraft provides expert knowledge of film funding opportunities and its extensive problem-solving capacities in film production.
The ultimate goal of our collaboration is to bring the screenplay to an advanced stage where it is ready to be developed together with a production company and realized in a co-production or buy-out.
